The Groundhog saw his shadow this morning in the chilly dawn in Gobbler’s Knob about an hour east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Maybe Phil should investigate a new pair of Ear Mitts for himself this year.

Ear Mitts® | Testimonial of an Ironman Competitor

One of our customers, Elizabeth Johnson, who is an Ironman Hawaii and Ironman Lake Placid, NYcompetitor, wrote in to tell us about her experience with Ear Mitts®.

“I usually start my serious training for the season when the weather gets brisk and breezy and the weather changes daily.  My workouts often include running trails around White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas or cycling around the lake.

But, I have a solution for this unseasonably changing weather: wearing a pair of Ear Mitts Bandless Ear Muffs.  They keep the early morning cold and the chilly winds coming off the lake out, and keep my ears cozy, warm, and comfortable.  They are so lightweight, that I sometimes forget that I even have them on.

The great part about Ear Mitts®, besides the wonderful colors they come in (they match all my workout gear), is that one size fits all because of their special patented construction.

When the weather becomes nasty, my ears begin to feel as if they are going to fall off, unless I quickly take my Ear Mitts out of my warm-up jacket and slip them on.  When my ears get warm, so does the rest of me.  They certainly make training easier on that 10K run or 40K bike around the lake.

And besides all of these great things about Ear Mitts®, they work with any type of headgear, helmet or cap and allow me to train all year round.”

If you have any special stories of your own about Ear Mitts® and all the great reason and places you wear them, send them to us.  If you would like to get a pair of your own please visit www.warmupsplus.com.

If you missed it, the small town of Racine, Wisconsin hosted a winter sculpting festival that yielded big beautiful sculptures of ice. The one day event on January 10, 2010, consisted of a mid-day stroll though downtown that  included access to stores, galleries, and restaurants while the commotion of ice-sculpting entertains the people and visitors of Racine.

This third annual event yielded thirteen giant blocks of ice that were beautifully sculpted by hand by professional ice sculpting artists. The area of 6th Street, Main Street and Monument Square will display the mighty ice sculptures  “as long as mother nature allows”. The downtown event was sponsored by local merchants, this is the true nature of Racine. The community in this gorgeous town on the lake will blow you away. As long as you have your Ear Mitts® and Snuggler Scarf™, you can stand the weather for the moments of merriment.

These items  keep you warm and fight off the wet in extreme low-temperatures. Be prepared!

See what Paul Yeager from Sphere has written about this winters next big rush:

“… December was exceptionally stormy across the United States, and the wild weather ride is likely to continue in January and February …  Snow, generally light, fell where it’s normally a rarity: western and southeastern Texas, as well as in parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Of greater importance, the Deep South was pounded with flooding rain, dangerous thunderstorms and even dozens of winter tornadoes.”

Tinsel and Treasure was held October 23rd – 25th, 2009 at the Knoxville Expo Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The sale of jewelry, food gifts, art, toys, garden tools, home decor and other fine gifts made Tinsel and Treasure quite an exciting shopping experience. Another show Fran’s Microfiber exhibited at the 27th Annual Christmas Fair which was also held at the Expo Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This year’s event took place on November 13th and 14th, 2009. The Annual Christmas Fair featured a great spread of crafts and gift items.

Fran’s Microfiber experienced success once again despite having to fight for buyers. The trend in most craft shows this season consist of high spirits with tight spenders.

So be sure and keep an eye out for Fran’s Microfiber the next time you find yourself rummaging around craft shows in eastern Tennessee. You just may run into some soft, fuzzy, functional items that will sweep you away.

Since we’ve started the busy winter season here at Ear Mitts®, we failed to keep you informed on My Ear Jazz and their adventures in Nebraska. It is definitely time for a re-cap!

Mrs. Geri Johnson of My Ear Jazz has definitely been one busy woman with her embellished Ear Mitts® at different craft and gift shows in the month of November and into December. In November alone she attended eight craft and gift events to show off her Ear Mitts®. Then in December she has rounded out her number to almost 12 events.

Here are some successful and wonderful events My Ear Jazz attended that Geri had a great time attending:

Holiday Splendor in Kearney, Nebraska
November Fest Annual Craft show in Burwell, Nebraska
Fall Harvest Craft Show in Mullen, Nebraska
The One Box Pheasant Hunt in Broken Bow, Nebraska
Southwood Lutheran Global Missions Craft Fair in Lincoln, Nebraska
St. Wenceslaus School Family Craft Fair in Wahoo, Nebraska

My Ear Jazz and their embellished Ear Mitts® had quite an ambitious holiday craft line-up, and we hope that maybe you got to join in on some of the experiences. We look forward to the on-going success of My Ear Jazz and all the small-town, big-name shows that they attend. They help keep the love and warmth of crafts fairs alive.
