Copacetic, Ear Mitts® and Ice Sculptures in Downtown Racine

If you missed it, the small town of Racine, Wisconsin hosted a winter sculpting festival that yielded big beautiful sculptures of ice. The one day event on January 10, 2010, consisted of a mid-day stroll though downtown that included access to stores, galleries, and restaurants while the commotion of ice-sculpting entertains the people and visitors of Racine.
This third annual event yielded thirteen giant blocks of ice that were beautifully sculpted by hand by professional ice sculpting artists. The area of 6th Street, Main Street and Monument Square will display the mighty ice sculptures “as long as mother nature allows”. The downtown event was sponsored by local merchants, this is the true nature of Racine. The community in this gorgeous town on the lake will blow you away. As long as you have your Ear Mitts® and Snuggler Scarf™, you can stand the weather for the moments of merriment.
